Project 366...
Sep. 6th, 2008 12:15 pmHanna made landfall around 3:30 A.M. this morning about 100 miles southeast of us. By 6:20 she'd knocked out our power and cable with her 50mph winds. The rain and damage here has been minimal, thank goodness. The power outage lasted about three hours, but the cable didn't come back on line until about an hour ago. We are still being blown around a bit by 25-30 mph winds, but they're just making my chimes sing louder.
I spent the dark, misty, windy morning reading. :D
My camera doesn't take very good 'wind' shots, but I wanted a picture during the worst of it so I used twist ties to bind a small flag to one of the wrought iron columns on my porch. The exposure had to be adjusted because it was very, very dark at 7:15 this morning. ;)
