My Delta, My Land...

The Delta is an alluvial plain caused by repeated flooding of the Mississippi River. That means agriculture is the number one business. Few people see the beauty of the Delta...maybe one has to be born and reared there to appreciate the landscape...but I love the flat, sweeping lay of the land that goes on and on and on as far as the eye can see. A multitude of rivers and bayous criss-cross the area to provide drainage.
