How high the moon...
The moon was so bright this morning I almost could have driven to work without headlights. Absolutely beautiful.
We've been reading some poetry about winter in class. The moon reminded me of one of the poems.

Silver
Slowly, silently, now the moon
Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy cote the white breasts peep
Of doves in silver feathered sleep
A harvest mouse goes scampering by,
With silver claws, and silver eye;
And moveless fish in the water gleam,
By silver reeds in a silver stream.

You are right, though. If ever there was a creature of habit, I am. :/

I love that song. I learned it in sixth grade and several of us girls used to sing it (in harmony) on the steps of the high school at lunch...a capella! We entertained people driving by. LOL!

golden sails across the skies
she's close enough to touch
but careful if you try
though she looks as warm as gold
the moon's a harsh mistress
the moon can be so cold
once the sun did shine
and lord it felt so fine
the moon a phantom arose
through the mountains and the pines
and then the darkness fell
the moon's a harsh mistress
learn to love her well"

Would you believe I'd never read anything by him until about ten years ago. I'm glad I didn't miss his work altogether. :D
