Project 366...
Aug. 11th, 2008 12:26 pmA couple of days ago I received a pair of rhinestone earrings I'd won on Ebay (for my Christmas rhinestone trees). I shouldn't complain about them because I only spent a tad over a dollar on them, but it would have been nice to know a stone was missing before I bid on them. The picture the seller used is deceiving and the missing stone is not easily noticed if one is not looking for such. In my mind, just saying 'offered in condition in which found' doesn't exactly tell me that a stone is gone...maybe that the stones have yellowed or the metal needs polishing. Maybe the description should have alerted me, but I have bought dozens of earrings and clips from Ebay sellers who make a point to tell about flaws. *sigh*
They'll be used, though. I can arrange the one with the missing stone in such a way that the flaw will not be seen. And, seriously, a DOLLAR and some change? I got what I paid for. ;)
